These are the terms you agree to when you buy from us. We've kept them short and in plain English. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Who you're buying from

PoochSnacks is a trading name of Cairn House Arts & Crafts, based in Durness in the Scottish Highlands. Contact us at hello@poochsnacks.co.uk.

Placing an order

When you place an order you'll get a confirmation email. That email confirms we've received your order; the contract between us begins when we dispatch it. If something you've ordered turns out to be unavailable, we'll contact you and refund you in full.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
• Payment is taken at checkout, securely via Stripe.
• We may change prices at any time, but never after you've placed an order.
• If a price is obviously wrong through human error, we'll contact you before proceeding rather than simply charging it.

Delivery

Delivery is a flat £3.99 on orders under £30, and free above that. We aim to dispatch within 2 working days, with delivery usually 2–5 working days afterwards. These are estimates rather than guarantees — we post from the far north of Scotland, and occasionally the weather has other ideas. Full detail is on our Delivery & Returns page.

Returns and refunds

Our treats are freshly baked food products, so under the Consumer Contracts Regulations perishable goods are exempt from the usual 14-day right to cancel. In practice that means we can't accept returns of edible items simply because you've changed your mind.

That is not the end of it if something's wrong. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or isn't of satisfactory quality, contact us as soon as you can and we'll put it right with a replacement or a refund. Non-edible items such as toys and accessories can be returned unused within 14 days.

Promo codes

• One promo code per order. Codes can't be combined with each other.
• Pooch Points can be redeemed alongside a promo code.
• Codes have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.
• We may withdraw or change a code at any time, though never on an order already placed.

Pooch Points

• Points are earned on the amount you actually pay for goods, after any discounts, and hold no cash value.
• Points are tied to your account and can't be transferred or sold.
• If an order is cancelled or refunded, any points earned on it are removed and any points you spent are returned.
• We may adjust the programme in future, but we won't take away points you've already earned.

Reviews

Reviews may only be left by customers who have bought the product, and are published once we've checked them. We'll remove anything offensive, misleading or unrelated to the product, but we won't remove a review simply for being critical.

Your dog

Our treats are complementary pet food, not a complete diet or a veterinary product. Ingredients and allergens are listed on every product page — please check them, give fresh water alongside treats, and speak to your vet about any specific dietary needs.

Liability

We stand behind what we make, and nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Scots law, and disputes fall to the courts of Scotland.
